Thura Aungko visits Chin state


The General Secretary of the Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) visited Hakha, the capital of Chin state, Myanmar and met party officials on 30 May 2013.

About 75 members of the local USDA in cluding Pu Hung Ngai, Chief Minister of the state and state level USDA’s officials, Township and villagers and USDA’s officials met in the USDA’s hall in Hakha.

Thura Aungko, delivered a lecture about the relationship between the people of the state, the work plan of the party, the policies of USDA and the relation between central USDA and state officials at the meeting.

“It is a preparation for the forthcoming Myanmar general election. This trip is the first one for Thura Aungko in Chin state after the government was formed by the USDA after the 2010 general election” said a member of Chin state USDP.

The former junta Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Brigadier General Thura Aung Ko provided (30) galvanized iron sheets for cyclone victims in Dauchin village of Hakha Township, said a local.

The Chin parties, the National League for Democracy and USDP will be contesting the forthcoming Myanmar’s general election in Chin state.

Thura Aung Ko also visited Than Tlang the same day. He left for Chin state for Kalemyo, Sagaing Division on 2 June 2013.
