Parliament confirms Salai Lian Luai for Chief Minister of Chin State


President U Htin Kyaw has appointed Sala Lian Luai for the Chief Minister of Chin State, which has announced at Chin State regular parliament session on 29 March 2016.

Salai Lian Luai was elected from constituency No. (2) of Falam township in 2015 general elections. He was also served the chairperson at state parliament session when Pu Zo Bawi for Chairman and U Aung Than for vice Chairman were selected as Chin State Parliament.

Salai Lian Luia (72) was brought up in Airibual village, Falam Township in Chin State and he was graduated with the degree of LAW (LLB) from Yangon University. He served as a government law officer in Yangon (1983), Kalay (1984-87), Falam (1987-89), Mindat and Matupi (1989-92), Amarapura (1992-2006), Sagaing (2006-2010), Falam (2010-2013), and as a district law officer in Tamu (2013-2014). After he retired from government officer, he had nominated for the candidate in Falam township constituency no. 2 by NLD party in 2015.
