NLD nominates U Henry Van Thio for Vice-President of Amyotha Hluttaw


National League for Democracy (NLD) has nominated U Henry Van Thio for the Vice-Presidnet of Myanmar at Amyotha Hluttaw today officially.

A retired, former Colonel U Henry Van Thio (58), Chin national, had elected for parliament of Aymyotha Hluttaw at Thantlang township constituency in 2015 general election.

U Henry Van Thio said, “In related with ethnic issue our party is keeping in mind seriously, and I’ll do my best for all ethnic people.”

Although NLD had selected U Sai Nyint Lwin, secretary of Shan National Democratic Party for vice-president previously, now NLD has officially nominated U Henry Van Thio for the same post.

At the meantime, USDP has nominated U Khin Aung Myin for vice-president of Myanmar at Amyota Hluttaw, but U Henry Van Thio is sure enough to be vice-president of Amyota Hluttaw.

NLD had also nominated U Thin Kyaw for vice-president of Pyithu Hluttaw while USDP has nominated Dr. Sai Mauh Kham.
