Nationwide ceasefire needs for peace in Myanmar: CNF President

Members of the Chin National Conference Resolution Implementation Committee met in Hakha, Chin State from 9-11 June, reviewing a set of resolutions reached during the November 2013 conference for the second times.

“It needs to work together with all ethnic armed groups, government officials and military forces for ceasefire in Myanmar,” said Pu Zin Cung, President of Chin National Front (CNF).

The meeting discussed about 151 points to implement by 45 groups and now extended to 50 groups in order to improve implementation.  Also discussed the issues related with politics, security, business, social, land and environment matters that would be brought to the table at the 21st century Panglong conference believed to take place in the near future.

There were 100 representatives attended at the meetings from CNF and other political parties in various townships.
