Job vacancy application form fees reduced

Burma’s education department in Matupi Town, Chin state, has brought down fees for application forms for job vacancies from 3,000 to 1,500 Kyats per form starting this month.

Matupi’s No. 1, Basic High School and No.2, Basic High School authorities reduced application form fees to 1500 Kyats per application form following a letter of complaint submitted by student’s parents.

“The headmaster of Matupi high school said, now one needs to pay 1,500 Kyats for an application form. Around 400 applicants have applied against vacancies,” said a school teacher.

Besides, the authorities of Matupi education department have been demanding between 6,000 to 10,000 Kyats as school transfer fees and 2,000 Kyats were collected for a mathematics pass certificate, said a student of Matupi.

“Some students paid the education department authorities in five installments,” said a Town elder of Cang Bong block. Khonumthung news
